Two poor mistakes by BILIC already who I thought was keen on European football. I approved of appointment BTW.
The line up today then not taking Collins of when all and sundry could see he was going to be sent off with that ref and the play acting going on.

Did we not take the first leg seriously?

You forgot Samuelsen who has not featured lately.

Absolutely pissed off about this.
I thought this was a new era

I have seen the training video and the OS bigging up Nolan Jenkinson etc.

Was just asking.

Not pleased myself for the record, I think Leicester and Bournemouth (games we have to win if we are going to make anywhere near respectable progress) are a lot tougher if we have been dump out of competition and have not won anything competitive for a while. A scenario that is a likely possibility.

That being said I will watch and hope Lanzini runs the show, Randolph plays a blinder, Jarvis terrorizes them and Lee scores a sneaky goal to send us through.

Have we lost already then? Seems to be a few hysterical queens mincing about this past couple of days.

You should post that exact same thing on another thread!

Why not just tell UEFA that we aint coming and save everyone the time?

Since when have West Ham forfitted a European competition? Two bob cunts with no pride.

if they arent fit then they arent fit, no point rushing them back for tonights game if they arent ready.

ioc

dont think so, but the OS commented on first teamers who had travelled and it looks likely that the only player out there you would expect to be in our first choice 11 at the moment is jenks.

Re: Team for away leg
No, neither do I but having missed most of preseason they are going to now have to get match fit in competitive games... 45 minutes tonight (or 25) would have been a good place to start.

Tomorrow is going to be a day to batten down the hatches... fall out from EL exit and tonight's BBC programme on us and the OS!

Have a I missed a confirmed squad somewhere?

There is no evidence Koeman is right. It just a matter of opinion.
If Southampton end up winning the Europa league or come close and finish in a decent top 10 position then I'll concede he has done really well.

Never seen so much defeatist crap before a game. We haven't lost yet to either Astra or Arsenal. Some of you need to get a grip.

not sure that either will be starting the game on sunday either.

Re: Team for away leg
Koeman was right, just that the truth sometimes hurts. We should be starting the season with a positive attitude and not looking to avoid risking players, there is probably more risk on our training ground anyway. As it is there is surely a better chance of beating Astra than beating Arsenal.

ludo21 10:24 Thu Aug 6
Re: Team for away leg
Possibly Trevor but we are told both are now fit and training, they must need some minutes, surely better to play 45 mins in EL and make a difference than go straight into a PL game with little match fitness.

Re: Team for away leg
I wonder about Samuelson as well.

Was on the bench last Thursday but not on Saturday.

A knock? As he was being included regularly before that.

perhaps neither are fit enough to play? both have had recent injuries.

Anyone mention Koeman's dig on this subject yet?

Re: Team for away leg
I agree with Eerie but I also agree with davey... Obiang and Reid both need game time having missed matches in preseason. Both could have played in this. And why leave a player like Samuelsen behind... doesn't make sense to me.

Re: Team for away leg
We could still field stronger teams and take it seriously though Eerie!
